Most of these works were composed during sixteen months of home isolation with my wife, Nancy, during the 2020–21 pandemic.
Amusingly, a significant number of them were written in bed—either in siesta or during the spells of insomnia I experience every night in the wee hours.
With so much time to think as I await sleep, I dive deeply into reflections on spiritual and philosophical issues, as well as thoughts on mortality.
Nonetheless, the overall mood of "Arcana Manna" is actually rather upbeat in its own peculiar way and, I think, filled with more than a few surprises. —M.G.
